| Continuing Education Requirements | Each licensee shall obtain 10 continuing education credits in each triennial registration period in the following: Barrier Free Subcode, N.J.A.C. 5:23-7 (2 credits); NJ Uniform Construction Code, N.J.A.C. 5:23, exclusive of the Barrier Free Subcode (2 credits); Americans with Disabilities Act, 36 CFR 1191 (2 credits); Industrial Safety (2 credits); NJ Law and Rules governing the provision of burglar alarm, fire alarm, and locksmithing services (2 credits). In addition to the 10 credits cited above, a licensee who holds one Committee-issued license shall complete 14 credits in courses relative to the scope of practice of the license held, for a total of 24 credits. A licensee who holds two Committee-issued licenses shall complete an additional 14 credits in courses relative to the scope of practice for the second license, for a total of 38 credits. A licensee who holds three Committee-issued licenses shall complete an additional 14 credits in courses relative to the scope of practice for the third license, for a total of 52 credits. A licensee may obtain no more than 10 credits in each triennial registration period, for each Committee-issued license, for completing Committee-approved correspondence, self study, televised, videotaped, teleconference, or internet courses. Therefore, a licensee may earn as many as 10, 20 or 30 credits On-Line, depending on whether he or she holds one, two or three Committee-issued licenses. |
